the character everyone gets wrong

come on there isn't enough space on this website to even get started on that.

I think recently there has been a tendency to make characters "better"/cooler/"more compelling"/perfect/more badass/etc in fandom even (especially) about flawed characters in canon, that want to be like "my fave is perfect and has never done anything wrong ever" that ends up ruining the character.

no one is perfect! everyone makes mistakes! embrace those mistakes!

2. a compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom

kdhgkjd okay so I don't generally have hard preferences on whether a character should top or bottom (beyond whatever is the opposite of the popular fandom take djkfgfjkdf I like seeing unexpected role when it's done well) but have a fun story usually my level of caring for characterisation in smut depends on how bored I am but last time I was reading a fic and the "he would not fucking say that" was so strong it made me stop seeking smut and do something else more productive.

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

I am terribly weak for side characters who appears once and then are never mentionned again. The thieves from the 55 minutes bungo stray dogs light novel this is for you. I love you. I hope we see you again because you guys are so fucking funny. HG Wells was so fascinating too to be honest.

Though I guess they're less unpopular and more unknown by the wider audience.

Uummm let's see I guess Mineta and Endeavour are on that list, they're not like favourite characters or anything but I like them in spite of the fandom at this point, I think their bashing tends to get over the top to the point of making the rest of the cast out of character.

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

in the same way Mineta and Endeavour bashing has grown out of control, Shinsou got overhyped by the fandom and yeah he's cool but also! he's not a poor little kid being mistreated by the whole world for his quirk, his opinions are biased, I think too many people wants him to parallel Izuku (in a "this is what could have happened to him if he didn't have All Might's quirk/support for the entrance exam which is a whole other bucket) except,, they're really not in the same situation.

Shinsou is a bit of a self-made martyr, in my opinion, he's like oh woe is me the world is against me people only think my quirk can be used for EVIL they don't think I can be a HERO but like,,, kid,,,, this is just teenage angst.
